Day 23

Today we awoke to grandpa knocking on the door at 8:40. I guess we needed to catch up on a little sleep. After a quick breakfast, all of us piled in the truck for the 45 min drive down another bumpy road thru the countryside to the Hopewell Rock. What a impressive sight to see. As Ned and Ted climbed on the rocks, ran through the mud and played with the kelp, I was amazed by the shear power of the tides and the forms that they carved out of the cliffs. As we strolled along the beach, gazing, taking pictures, laughing and walking hand in hand with my wife, I couldn't help but smile and thank God for this amazing opportunity.
Ned figured out quickly that the seaweed covered rocks made great slides, and Ted was pushing the limits by trying to climb a little higher or faster on each new rock. We strolled along the beach for a few hours, then back to the cafe at the top of the cliffs. Ned and Ted escorted grandma back up to the top of the hill on the shuttle, while grandpa, mom, and myself walked up.
Back on the road towards Alma, Ned got a chance to hang his head out the window, his hair was all over the place and we had a few laughs. Ned navigated grandpa towards the alma lobster shack. Once there we all placed our orders, and then anxiously awaited our first taste of Atlantic lobster. It was better than any lobster I have ever had. Ted loved his first taste, and Ned decided to stick to macaroni salad.
Back to the campsite. A bike ride, a elastic band gun fight, then hotdogs and a FaceTime visit with grandma and grandpa Munro.  We then were blessed by a visit from a family that we met earlier on the bike ride. They to are a homeschool family, from PEI, three children 9,7and 3. We adults sat around the fire visiting, as the kids watched a movie and ate popcorn in the motorhome. Had a great visit, kids hit it off, so we invited them back for pancakes in the morning before we head for Peggy's cove.
