day 29

Today was our visit to Fort Louisbourg. The weather was beautiful, and the day was disappointing.  I think that we had built this place up in our mind, and had heard so many wonderful things about it that we set ourselves up for disappointment. The problem with traveling in the shoulder season is that a lot places are shut down or services cut back. Louisbourg was no different. Most of the building were closed up and there were only a few people dressed up in period clothing. We soon learned that even though we had paid admission, that because we were not from a cruise ship we didn't get to go into some of the buildings, and if we did want to have a visit closer to what we would in high season, that was going to cost 7$ per person, and even at that it allowed us little interaction. the staff were all wonderful and went out of there way to try to give Ned and Ted a good experience. They even snuck us into the closed children's area so that they could try out the costumes.

We stopped for dinner on the way back to camp at AandK lick a chick. and called it a early night
